Features & Compatibility

The Nokia 6310 (2024) is a refined version of the classic silhouette, updated specifically to handle the modern requirements of 2026. While it retains the iconic “curved” look of the original, it has been modernized with USB Type-C charging and improved accessibility features.

Important Note on Connectivity: Unlike the Nokia 3210 or 235 models, the 2024 refresh of the 6310 is primarily a 2G-only device in many markets. It focuses on being a “Digital Detox” companion rather than a high-speed data device.

## What’s New in the 2024 Version?

  • Type-C Universal Charging: The biggest change for 2024 is the move from Micro-USB to USB Type-C. This makes it much easier to charge using the same cables you use for your other modern electronics.

  • Massive Battery Upgrade: The battery has been bumped up to 1450 mAh (from 1150 mAh in the 2021 model). This provides significantly longer talk time and can stay alive for nearly a month on a single charge in standby mode.

  • Accessibility Mode: It features zoomed-in menus and larger font options by default. There is also a “one-icon” view mode, which is perfect for seniors or anyone who prefers a simplified interface.

  • UPI Integration: Despite being a 2G phone, it supports Gupshup Pay (UPI 123PAY). In India, this allows you to make digital payments by scanning QR codes with the VGA camera or via IVR.

  • The “JOMO” Philosophy: HMD markets this phone for the “Joy of Missing Out.” There is no WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram, making it a pure tool for calling, texting, and listening to the radio.
